Bold Hi Design With Intricate Hi Kiwa--Will Always Draw Your Attention!!
Its long Hi design decorates the body boldly...in particular the clear parabola on the face makes a refined impression. The Hi wraps down to both sides deeply, making a wonderful strong picture from any angle. The thick Hi coloration is uniform, and we can see it high quality at a glance.
The white areas of the face and between the Hi plates are very bright and transparent. When considering a Kohaku with an intricate Hi Kiwa (edge), we know that when the area of white skin spreads further apart as its body grows, it is then that the complicated pattern really has an effect on the appearance of the Koi!
Please make the addition of this Bold Hi Design Kohaku from the great lineage of Marudo to your pond, and you will be able to have great fun watching as the future appearance of this Koi reveals itself!!

Marudo Koi Farm
Description:
Out of the Ordinary Design Shines with Marudo Quality!
Its Hi design is a unique one, and it reflects a stylish look. The wide first Hi plate has a few cuts, and its intricate Hi Kiwa (edge) introduces the thickness of the Hi. The triangular Odome Hi pulls the total Hi design together. In particular, the whole balance of the Hi is very good, and it's an attractive trait for this Koi.
The appearance of the 2-Shiroji running in a rectangular shape across the trunk gives this Koi a bright expression.
When the areas of white skin spread with the growth of its body, this complicated pattern will be a very polished decoration for your pond.
Koi that come from through the great lineage of Marudo Koi Farm are known by their massive body size, quality and design.

About the breeder Hasegawa:
Mr Hasegawa breeds especially kohaku at his home in Ojiya
City, the quality of Hasegawa koi is very good (Hasegawa kohaku are in fact
Tomoin x Manzo lines). The Cream Ogon originated from him and nowadays is a
collectors item by serious hobbyists. He is a very unique breeder. While
he is not famous among Japanese hobbyists, he is very famous in Europe. He is a
place where top breeders like Dainichi and Hoshikin visits to buy their parental
Koi. He is not famous in Japan because he started breeding as a hobby. But he is
famous in Europe because he was introduced in "Koi Kichi" by Mr. Peter
Waddington. He is an important source for Dainichi and Hoshikin because of the
bloodline of his Koi. His Koi has a strong blood of 'Tomoin' Kohaku. Having this
traditional 'Tomoin' bloodline as its foundation, he introduced 'Manzo' and 'Murada'
bloodline to improve Hasegawa Kohaku.

Outdoor Pond
I started digging a pond this summer and had a general idea of the size that
I was going to build. My pond ended up 16 feet by 11 feet and holds about 1600
gallons. I have always admired the tranquility of the sound of running water and
the graceful swimming of Koi and Goldfish. I started with about 20 goldfish
after filling my pond and some of those are currently about 4-7 inches long.
They started out as ugly $.28 feeder goldfish and now have blossomed into beautiful sarrassa comets and goldfish. I bought everything except the bio filter and
liner on Ebay. I even bought my plants on Ebay. I now have water lilies,
hornwort, water lettuce and hyacinths.
Indoor Pond ???? ARE YOU CRAZY?
My thought behind an indoor pond was to allow me to feed my fish all winter
long to allow for maximum growth. I decided to build one and put it in my garage
after worrying that 30 inches of water depth might not be enough this winter. I
built it with 2x4, metal brackets, 3/4in ply and then added a liner, uv filter,
bio filter, pool filter and heaters and lights to complete it below. I also made
sure that I have enough "daylight" by having 12 4 foot sunlight
fluorescents as
well as 8 feet (4) 4 foot of agriculture grow lighting. Currently I have the
water temp at 72 degrees. I am sure I won't be able to keep it there, but I
think that I will be able to keep it in the high 60's even in the deep winter
here in Tennessee. Now I can enjoy my KOI all winter long!
I have added 7 Koi to the bunch as the first ones are now 10-11" and the new ones
are 4-6" right now in November.

OUTDOOR CONSTRUCTION PHOTOS |
I used a backhoe that I was renting for another job when I got the idea of a water feature for the front yard.

INDOOR POND - 900 Gallons |
Pumps, UV filter and lighting
I started with pressure treated 2x4's and heavy duty metal brackets for the corners. I then added 3/4in plywood on both sides after putting a middle brace and vertical bracing in sides. I added 8 foot of agriculture lighting and one small pool pump, a biofilter, UV filter, heater and aireation.
